The air is salty and it’s humid. I’m sweaty. It smells like spring break. I took these pictures of fake mountains with black and white film to play with the tradition of photographing the American west. They’re about the connection between what’s fake and what’s real in the landscape. They’re about pretending to be something you’re not.
